Marc de Bourmont is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at EM Lyon Business School.

He is completing his Ph.D. at HEC School of Management, Paris, on the topic of voluntary disclosure by firms in their annual reports. Before starting his Ph.D., he has been working as a financial analyst for the Allianz Group (Société Française d’Assurance Crédit) and in the Merger and Acquisition Department of Deloitte and Touche.

His research is also devoted to other topics such as earnings management, bankruptcy, the relationship existing between earnings, cash flows and returns, normative accounting and the impact of the adoption of the IAS/IFRS norms.
