Loïc Belze is an Associate Professor of Finance at EM Lyon Business School.

He holds a Ph.D in finance and is an alumnus of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po Paris). During his Ph.D, he had the opportunity to work as a financial analyst (at Banque de France) and as a trader assistant on an equity desk (at Crédit Lyonnais).

His research focus  is on corporate governance, especially on the impact of complex assets on the firm’s market value. The link between anti-takeover defenses and the nature of financial assets used by managers also constitutes a core interest of his research. He publishes in peered academic reviews and has also co-authored a book on finance history.
